Church Based Leadership Training is a Bible College type ministry using the extension method of holding local church-based training classes for the 5 categories of men given to the church according to Ephesians 4:11.

The BEE program uses a discipleship method of training laymen for active or full-time ministry on a local church basis. This ministry closely follows Jesus’ and Paul’s example. To accomplish this CBLT uses a three pronged emphasis in the preparation of church leaders.

The three main components are: Academics, Character Development, and
Ministry skills.

1. Students receive Biblical and Theological preparation during
personal study time and seminar discussions.
2. The personal development of Christian character skills and values,
which promotes diligence in serving Christ, is a main focus of the
teaching.
3. Practical ministry experience. Each course has many hands on
assignments. Students complete the assignments as work for that course.

The emphasis is on developing the student’s character by using academics as a tool. The result of developing character is greatly benefited by spiritual productivity, measurable in the form of ministry skills.

Students who do exactly as prescribed in Ephesians 4:12 have made this ministry extremely blessed and fruitful. They follow the instructions Paul gave to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2.

BEE disciples through a curriculum consisting of 20 courses, building church leaders right in their own local churches and country. The courses survey topics such as Basic Christian Life, Galatians and Romans, Evangelism/Discipleship, New Testament, Old Testament, How to study the Bible, How to Teach, Christian Life and still others. The BEE Transcarpathion core prepares existing untrained local laymen to become active and possibly full-time church leaders.

A note about the uniqueness of the BEE Transcarpathion ministry:

It is seminars-not seminaries | going (instructors traveling)-not students coming | discipling (modeling)-not teaching | discussion-not lecturing.

Transferable curriculum | limited time frame | local responsibility from the beginning | NT small group oriented church structures | student oriented-not teacher oriented.

Academics (know), Character development (be), and Ministry skills (do);
(know-be-do). Our focus is on people, not materials or buildings.
Foreign induced «by extension» becomes nationally owned «church-based» education. The Ministry has sufficient character and denominational acceptance to offer degrees. Degrees will be a combination of academics, character above reproach, and active ministry.

BEE Secrets to Success has been:

1. Practical assignments based on the course under study.
2. Trainees receive course training by successful students who completed the same course.

The crucial element of this ministry is Matt. 28:19: «Go» not «Come».
So, the course coaches go to conduct classes in local churches. The students do not come to a stationary program. Another unique BEE focus is to develop a team of local church leaders as according to Eph. 4:11.

BEE Transcarpathia is a ministry that not only prepares church leaders but also simultaneously prepares specially gifted nationals to train others. A specific leadership program (LTS) is offered in workshop format to progressing students.

The outcome of this training is the establishment of regional Training Centers using the «Church Based» method of teaching and discipling. Because of the «GO» emphasis, they are called BEE CBLT Centers (Training Centers) rather than Bible Colleges. Each province has such a BEE Center from which the course coaches are sent out to conduct discussion seminars in local churches. The results have been blessed phenomenally.

Demographic studies of previously resident areas are completed in order to plant new churches. Course coaches and students use the summer season to plant new churches on the basis of the demographic studies. Several new churches are established annually and preparations are made for multiplying churches throughout the nation.

This ministry truly has become a miraculous movement of the Lord. BEE trains ten times more students in Ukraine than all other organizations put together. Yet the training costs of BEE students are less than one tenth of others. We truly thank God for that.

The fruit and blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon these efforts in numerous countries has been phenomenal and totally beyond our imagination. Some have called the movement that the Lord has begun here a modern miracle, a re-enactment of the Book Of Acts in modern times. We are humbled by the privilege God has given us and praise Him with grateful hearts. Hallelujah!

BEE — Biblical Education by Extension

At the conference held in Guatemala in 1978 it was decided to introduce biblical education in every church, so that that the church itself will be able to train ministers for its needs. Thus, the biblical education based on the curriculum of the seminary was implanted in local churches where the instruction was conducted. This program was called Biblical Education be Extension (BEE). After the introduction of this program the local churches made much progress: firstly, the ministers got knowledge staying in the town they lived; secondly, the local churches became more prolific in bringing up missionaries, fulfilling the great commission of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).

Nowadays the program of BEE is widespread in almost every corner of the world. Every student of the Bible Institute should do a preparatory course of Series 2:7.
It includes the following items:

The Role of the Bible in the Life of a Christian;
A Christian filled with the Holy Spirit;
Relationship with God;
Effective Testimony;
Effective Ministry;
Relationship with Brothers and Sisters;
Priorities and Goals of Christian Life;
Strengthening of Christian Faith;
How Can I be a Good Witness in the World;
Relationship with God as the Most Important Aspect of Christian Life;

How Can I Put the Priorities of my Life in Good Order, according to Mat. 6:33;

Learning how to Live a Victorious Life.

The first course of the BEE program is that of «Galatians and Romans». Its goal is adjusting the everyday life to the faith. Its objective is to teach a Christian to walk by the Spirit. The next course is «Evangelism and Discipleship». The experienced ministers who won a lot of souls for Christ, such as Dowson Trotman, James Engel (the colleagues of Billy Graham), John Scott, Walter Henricson, Jim Peterson and others, give practical pieces of advice to either pastor or any church member concerning a fruitful Christian life that consists in winning souls for Christ and converting them into the disciples of New Testament who in their turn will be able bear fruit for God.

The verses of Mathew 28:18-20 and II Timothy 2:2 serve as a basis for the course. Many ministers and missionaries admit that the course «Evangelism and Discipleship» has miraculously changed their life. These are the first two courses of the program. Considering the present juncture of the development of the BEE in our church there is no point in mentioning all 20 courses (Old and New Testament Survey, Church Dynamics, Christian Ethics, Hermeneutics, Homiletics, Apologetics, Survey of Doctrine, Church History, Christian Marriage, Christian Family, etc.).

The training suits everybody as every student is supplied with special manuals. Everyone has opportunity to enter the Biblical Institute for there is no age limit and it is not necessary to take entrance exams. The students are meant to study the courses on their own availing themselves of the Bible and the manuals.
